China–Europe Business Association (CEBA) 2025 Annual Review and Shared Outlook for the New Year

To all members, partners, and friends of the China–Europe Business Association:

As Christmas approaches and the year draws to a close, we pause to reflect on the past and look forward to the future together.

For the China–Europe Business Association (CEBA), the past year has been both intense and highly productive, marking a significant phase of development. 

Amidst global economic restructuring, rising geopolitical uncertainties, and accelerating energy and industrial transitions, CEBA has consistently maintained a 

clear sense of mission and a steady pace of progress, moving forward with purpose.

A Year of Solid Foundations: Building a Cross-China-Europe Organizational Network

In 2025, CEBA entered a new stage of organizational and institutional development.

Within just six months, the Association established branches in several key economic and industrial hub cities:

China: Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing

Europe: Paris, Hanover, Stockholm, Vienna, Budapest

The establishment of each branch not only expanded CEBA’s geographic reach but also reflected its deliberate effort to root itself in regions of strategic importance

 for manufacturing, technological innovation, energy transition, and cross-border investment.

Thanks to the joint efforts of branch directors, founding members, and partners, CEBA has gradually evolved into a dual-continent platform—locally grounded, 

connecting China and Europe, and capable of fostering synergy between the two regions—linking the practical needs of different areas with a shared international 

vision.

Over 500 Corporate Members: A Growing Community with Shared Values

One of the most representative achievements this year has been the rapid growth of CEBA’s membership.

In just six months, CEBA’s corporate membership has exceeded 500, spanning sectors such as:

Renewable energy and energy storage

High-end manufacturing and industrial equipment

Digital technology and intelligent systems

Supply chain, logistics, and industrial services

Yet, what matters more than the numbers is their underlying significance—

This is a community of enterprises that believes in long-term cooperation, professional dialogue, and responsible globalization.

CEBA’s growth is not built on one-time transactions or symbolic partnerships but on trust, continuity, and shared commitment.

From Scale Expansion to Value Building: The Path CEBA Adheres To

Over the past year, CEBA has consistently upheld a clear and stable mission-oriented approach:

Connection: Bridging enterprises, institutions, and business associations between China and Europe

Empowerment: Supporting enterprises and chambers of commerce in building genuine, sustainable international capabilities

Co-creation: Promoting long-term industrial collaboration over short-term market entry

In particular, CEBA has intensified its focus and investment in the following areas:

Assisting Chinese industry associations and chambers of commerce that have yet to achieve systematic internationalization in gradually building capabilities for 

overseas cooperation and expansion

Supporting member enterprises in navigating Europe’s complex regulatory environment, ESG requirements, and market structures

Facilitating cross-regional dialogue and synergy among industry, policy, and capital

This approach reflects CEBA’s fundamental assessment of current globalization trends:

Contemporary globalization is no longer driven by speed but emphasizes depth, resilience, and structural alignment.

Looking Ahead: From “Presence” to “Influence”

As we step into the new year, CEBA’s focus will gradually shift from rapid expansion to deepening impact and delivering tangible outcomes.

Key priorities for the next phase include:

Strengthening synergy mechanisms among branches to build an integrated China-Europe network

Promoting joint research, white paper releases, and policy-level dialogues

Supporting specific industrial cooperation projects related to energy transition, manufacturing localization, and supply chain resilience

Enhancing membership services in compliance, localization, talent development, and long-term investment strategies

Above all, CEBA will continue to listen—

To the needs of members, the feedback of partners, and the real changes in the global economic landscape.
